Baron Rush -Buzby
16.1 hh, born 1988, bay, Thoroughbred, gelding. Used to dogs, cattle, pigs and poultry. Good to catch, handle, traffic, farrier.
Passported and microchipped.
A cheeky, playful, friendly (but not when he’s eating), genuine horse. Buzby was a real character.
Buzby was an ex race horse, who had since taught a young lady to ride. He was no longer able to be ridden due to a heart murmur. He was on medication for this for the last year of his life.
Buzby got used to routine (especially feed times) very quickly and loved to have time spent with him. Every day, when we arrived, we were greeted by Buzby whinnying across the field to us.
Unfortunately, it is believed that Buzby was kicked by one of the other horses/ponies which caused a fracture to his hock. Buzby would not have been able to support his weight until this healed, as he had a problem with both hips. Rather than to allow him to suffer, or fall, Noah's Ark Sou'West had Buzby put to sleep on 07/08/2014. He will be sorely missed by all.
